Hip hop has successfully and continually crossed ethnic barriers and even music lines. Tim Mc Graw and Nelly reamed up for a very sucessful hit “Over and Over Again1”, Darius Rucker of Hootie and The Blow FIsh currently has a song on the country charts.

Hip hop is breaking all sorts of barriers and lines in the sand including playing profanity free music for the kids. The interesting perspective on the original hip hop artists is that they have fully matured now and have children or grandchildren of their own.

Hip Hop is definitely an art and it deserves to be recognized and as it broadens the audience it plays to it will be easier to understand the delight that hip hop can offer.
